The Team

The team is  led by the head of marketing & business development and consists of a senior client development manager,  BD consultant and a marketing & BD assistant. The team also works closely with agencies for website support and development, SEO and PPC, as well as for design and PR.

The main objectives of the marketing team is to improve reputation and brand awareness and to generate leads through traditional and digital channels, to support the firm’s overall strategy.

The team works closely with business development colleagues whose objective is to increase profitable revenue.

Job Purpose

The role will be responsible for creating market-leading content and run the firm’s digital channels to maximise online engagement and lead generation.

You will liaise with external agencies, lead on website development, manage and implement a content marketing calendar, oversee email campaigns, and analyse and report on digital performance.

You will also be responsible for planning and supporting the Client Development Manager and Head of M&BD to run a series of  individual team and firm-wide events.

Key Responsibilities

Working with the Head of Marketing & Business Development to:

  • Help to deliver the firm’s events programme, ensuring that they continually support and deliver against the overall M&BD strategies. This will involve sourcing venues, managing invitation lists, creating invitations, arranging catering, managing name badges  and attending events if required.
  • Ensure that relevant external events are attended. Research external events in our key markets and work with team leaders to make sure that the right people are attending.
  • Understand IBB’s vision, mission and business opportunities and deliver marketing that supports these.
  • Understand IBB’s brand positioning and values, to ensure all marketing activities reflect this.
  • Understand the full marketing mix and how each element supports brand building and revenue generation.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies across SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
  • Create, manage, and grow the company’s social media presence, ensuring consistent brand messaging and engagement across platforms.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of digital marketing efforts, measuring results against key performance indicators (KPIs) and return on investment (ROI).
  • Identify emerging trends and opportunities, optimising campaign performance based on data-driven insights.
  • Work closely with internal teams to design and improve landing pages, ensuring an optimized user experience across all customer touchpoints.
  • Leverage analytical skills to track and enhance the entire customer journey, identifying key conversion points and improving user funnels.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to ensure alignment on marketing objectives and to drive results.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, continuously evaluating new technologies and tools for potential adoption.
  •  Provide strategic insights and thought leadership to ensure the company remains competitive in digital marketing innovation.
  • Track market trends to effectively position products within the marketplace.
  • Develop and execute product marketing strategies, including pricing models, advertising campaigns, and product launches.
  •  Craft compelling marketing messages for various channels, from landing pages to ad campaigns, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Test and optimise marketing tactics, including product features, new releases, and ad copy, to drive engagement.
  • Use KPIs and client feedback to evaluate project outcomes, making data-informed decisions for future campaigns.
Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Professional marketing qualification preferred.

Skills and Experiences

  • Previous digital marketing experience, ideally within professional services
  •  Comfortable with autonomy and responsibility
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience in working with and influencing stakeholders
  • A good eye for design – experience of designing in Canva
  • Strong knowledge of all key social platforms and their advertising modules; Hootsuite; Google Analytics; Google Ads; and WordPress
